Yesterday, we sent out an email with an update regarding the Ontario lockdown beginning Boxing Day. We included a response from Sam, on behalf of the Elders (see below).
Also below, we now have a video from Dwight, on behalf of the Deacons, and a corresponding letter, which along with Sam’s note, will be mailed out to those without email.
Dear Church Family:
We are reminded once again that the Church is not a building, it is the People of God. Please be assured that while we are in a lockdown, your Elders will continue to minister to you in whatever way we can.
When needs arise, please contact us by phone (519-836-2132) or email (sam@crestwicke.org).
Be assured of our prayers for you during this unique Christmas Season.
Christ has come, Hallelujah!

Dear Crestwicke Family
You would have no doubt by now heard of the new lockdown that is being imposed by the province, starting on Boxing Day and lasting through to January 23, 2021. In response to the announcement and in order to comply with the guidelines and regulations we will be closing the church to in-person services starting this Sunday.
While we remain focused on abiding by the guidelines, we are also looking at options that will facilitate services that are in compliance with the guidelines, so please stay tuned to the website for further announcements. If you have been using the building, we are also committed to facilitating the continuation of those ministries and so Bible studies and other meetings that can go online will be supported.
The second time round for the lockdown means that we have leaned a lot and are able to apply that knowledge to better serve our congregation, so please feel free to reach out if there is some way we can better serve you. For the next 4 weeks we can all play our individual part to help make the lockdown as effective as possible and I encourage us all to make this small sacrifice which, if it works, will allow us to come out of this in 4 weeks.
In the meantime I do ask your prayers for the staff and Board as they work on ways to keep things going and to better serve the congregation; in the Christmas season I encourage us all to focus on Christ who came as a child to save us all. We have a hope in Christ and especially in trying times like these we can rest on the assurance that our God is ultimately in control. Blessed Christmas to you all.
Dwight
