Hi Crestwicke family,
We have a few extra things to let you know about before the Christmas holidays.
First, please enjoy our Christmas photo of the 2020 staff. Consider it a Christmas card, from us to you! Is Jake singing opera while holding Bruce’s hand? Maybe. Let us know what you think.
As you likely know by now, Ontario is heading back into lockdown as of Boxing Day; as a result, all in-person Sunday services are suspended for the next 4 weeks.
Well, at least for us around here, it feels like we are walking the trodden path this time round; we certainly have a much better handle on what this looks like and even some new ideas of things we’ll be able to do during this time. Stay tuned to your inboxes after the holidays, as we will be updating you with how we are moving forward. For the next two Sundays it will be a bit low-key, and a bit familiar: Jake will have pre-recorded sermons online for Sunday, December 27 and Sunday, January 3. You will find those on the Sunday Services page, where we will be posting any service and re-opening updates as well.
As the building will be closed to all but staff, any in-person Bible studies, prayer, and committee meetings will have the option to move to Zoom if you would like to continue to meet. Please let us know if this is something you are interested in, and we will get that set-up for you. (Note: only those 18+ can use Zoom, due to license restrictions.) If you feel you need access to the building while we are in lockdown, please contact me to put in a request so we can sort out a suitable arrangement.
For good kids content over the holidays, or Bible studies for yourself for the New Year, don’t forget to check out our RightNow Media account, which is completely free for you to use. See our suggestions are on our page here, if you haven’t yet done so.
Just a reminder the office is closed between Christmas and New Year’s. We’ll be back January 4, 2021, jumping right into discussions about what the next month or so will look like around here. If you have any urgent requests or needs, please let us know. The church phone and email will be occasionally checked through the holidays, and we will do our best to get back to you on anything urgent.
And finally, if you need a hearty laugh during this time, we’ve heard our Christmas banquet video is good the second, third or eighteenth time around. Plus, if you want to win the prizes for Rick’s contests, don’t forget to enter before December 24th at midnight!
Merry Christmas, dear church family!
