Welcome to STEAM Camp: Rock of Ages
Rock of Ages is a five-day STEAM camp where your kids will have fun learning through
Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math!
With experiments, games, and arts projects, we'll explore the wonders of God’s creation.
This year we will mining for eternal treasures!
“For in Scripture it says: See I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”
Why A STEAM Camp?
STEAM or Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math are all key elements of many of the upcoming jobs in our workforce. At Crestwicke, we want to empower and inspire today’s youth with the tools they need to succeed in life while helping them to understand how God’s hand plays a role in all of it.
At our STEAM Camp your kids will dig deep into geology…
Investigating the Science behind volcanoes, earthquakes, and the incredible processes of the ever-changing earth, marvelling at how God’s perfect plan holds everything together in the midst of complexity and chaos
Learning how we can use Technology and Engineering to further explore and discover what treasures God has given us beneath our feet;
Using Math to explore the chemical reactions and physical changes that shape our planet;
And discover through the Arts how truly complex and beautiful rocks can be, and create their own interpretations of God’s amazing world.

FAQ
Is food provided?
Due to many children with various dietary requirements, you will need to pack your child(ren)’s own nut-free lunch and a snack. Also, please ensure your child has their own labeled water bottle; there will be filling stations available.
How should my child dress?
We will be active both inside and (weather permitting) outside. Your child(ren) will also be participating in various activities, some of which can be messy (i.e. painting, tye dye etc.) so please dress your child with that in mind.
Packing sunscreen, hats, etc. is recommended.
What will a typical day look like?
Every day we will start as a big group in the Auditorium where we will talk about the theme for the day, play games, sing songs etc. Then the kids will be split into smaller groups; these are the groups they will be with for the rest of the week.
In these smaller groups they will rotate through three different stations: STEM activity/talk, art, and games/sports. After, we will all meet back in the Auditorium, then head outside for pickup.
My child's friend will be attending. How can I make sure they are in the same group?
We will be dividing groups by grade, so if they are in the same grade there is a good chance (but no guarantee) that they will be in the same group. However, when you register for camp, you can leave a note in the comments section and we will take these into consideration as best we can.
