About Saturday Seminars
About a year ago, the Pastoral staff and Elders at Crestwicke began plans to move toward a new format for our adult Sunday School teaching. Saturday Seminars was the result of these discussions: longer sessions, over a month of Saturday mornings, with time to really dig into a topic more deeply than our shorter format Sunday School sessions allowed. For this first month of seminars we will be online, though hope for future sessions to be in-person. We are so very pleased to have Steve West back with us for this kick-off month of seminars. We hope you will join us as we seek to learn and grow more in our faith together as a church family.
Course Overview
Jesus Christ is the most influential person in history. He is at the heart of the Scriptures and is the center of Christianity. Today, the name of Jesus is both praised and cursed. How are we to understand Jesus, and how can we witness for him in our contemporary culture? This March, as we prepare for the Easter Weekend, those who are interested can spend four Saturday mornings learning more about Jesus together.
Topics to be covered:
Was Jesus Really God?
How Does Christ Fit in the Trinity?
How Could Jesus be Fully God and Fully Man?
Is There Any Evidence that Jesus was Raised from the Dead?
Does the Old Testament Actually Point to Jesus?
How Did Jesus' Death on the Cross Atone for Sins?
What Did Jesus Teach and Do?
